The ECITB MJI 33 - Hydraulic Torque and Tension for the Wind Industry course teaches learners the essential techniques on the use of high pressure hydraulic torque and tension equipment to assemble bolted joints within the wind industry, following the ECITB 4 Stage model to competence.

Course topics include:

  • Health and Safety (Hazards/Risks

  • Principles of Bolting (Bolt Stress/Strain)

  • Fasteners

  • Tower Shimming and alignment

  • Inspections

  • Bolt Tightening sequences and patterns

  • Hydraulic Torque Tightening

  • Hydraulic Tensioning

Prerequisites:

  • Form of Photograph ID which should be presented upon beginning of training course
