Degree apprentice rueben priest takes first offshore trip

Degree Apprentice Rueben Priest heads offshore!

After joining The Wind Academy following the completion of his T Level in Engineering, Rueben built on this success by joining our Degree Apprenticeship programme last year, specialising in Electrical Engineering.

A major recent success for Rueben has been completing his first offshore trips, teaming up with our technicians at TWA Global to support the testing and commissioning of high-voltage cable systems on an offshore wind farm in the UK.

The feedback on both the quality of Rueben’s work and his work ethic has been extremely positive, showing that the training and daily experience at our technical centre have played an important role in his professional development.

We are proud to see how far he has progressed since joining The Wind Academy, from starting his Degree Apprenticeship to completing his first rotations on offshore wind projects.

This project has also marked another successful collaboration with our partner organisation, TWA Global, which has given Rueben the opportunity to gain valuable offshore experience.
