Recognise, respond, and manage casualties in the offshore wind environment. Build the confidence to act when seconds matter.
Book this moduleThe GWO First Aid module equips wind technicians with the confidence and competence to respond to medical emergencies on site, in the turbine, or at sea. From the moment you discover a casualty to the handover to professional medical services, you will learn the practical skills that save lives in hard-to-reach locations.
Offshore wind is not like any other working environment. Help can be hours away, access is vertical and confined, and every technician is expected to be capable. This module is built around that reality. You will practise CPR, bleed control, casualty assessment, and handover until the techniques become second nature.
Delivered by trainers who have worked in the industry, not just taught it, this module combines classroom theory with scenario-based practical assessments that replicate the environments you will actually be working in.
Over half of this module is spent applying skills in realistic scenarios. You will leave with muscle memory, not just knowledge.
First Aid is delivered as part of our combined GWO Basic Safety Training. Join us at the Port of Blyth for training delivered by industry professionals.
