About the course

The certification every offshore wind site requires.

GWO Basic Safety Training is the combined, mandatory five-module course that introduces participants to the wind industry. Over five days of theory and hands-on practical training, you will gain the knowledge and skills to work safely in the offshore wind environment.

Training is delivered in line with the Global Wind Organisation Basic Safety Training Standard V20 and is internationally recognised by wind farm operators and contractors. On completion, your certificate is registered on the GWO WINDA database and remains valid for 24 months.

Our trainers have worked in offshore wind for years before stepping into the classroom, and the Port of Blyth facility is purpose-built to replicate real turbine and offshore environments.
